Following steps should work for following Operating System:

CentOS | Fedora | OpenSuSE | Redhat

Steps

Description

1.

downloading nagios-n2rrd-VER-RELEASE.src.rpm

2.

rpm -i nagios-n2rrd-VER-RELEASE.src.rpm

3.

depending on the Linux-Distribution e.g.

  • OpenSuSE: PATH= /usr/src/packages/SPECS, /usr/src/packages/SOURCES
  • CentOS/Redhat/Fedora: PATH=/usr/src/redhat/SPECS, /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES

4.

Check:
<PATH>/SPECS/n2rrd.spec and <PATH>/SOURCES/n2rrd-VER-RELEASE.tar.gz
PATH=see Step 3.

5.

type rpmbuild -ba <PATH>/SPECS/n2rrd.spec
replace <PATH> with appropriate value

6.

The above command will produce three packages:

  1. nagios-n2rrd-VER-RELEASE.src.rpm
  2. nagios-n2rrd-VER-RELEASE.noarch.rpm
  3. nagios-n2rrd-rrd2graph-VER-RELEASE.noarch.rpm

7.

Install N2RRD by typing:
rpm -i nagios-n2rrd-VER-RELEASE.noarch.rpm

8.

Install RRD2GRAPH by typing:
rpm -i nagios-n2rrd-rrd2graph-VER-RELEASE.noarch.rpm
